Raise Humidity Without Draining The Bank!

I had a good friend run into an issue I had faced a while back so I thought there are probably plenty of others in the same boat! If you're looking for a humidifier for a tent or small room and want to save some coin, read on!

I needed a humidifier for my LED Nursery and didn't need 75 pints a day dumped in the room, nor did I want to spend $362 on another Ideal-Air humidifier. I use one in my veg room and it is worth every penny if you need a higher output unit! If you need one, definitely get one - https://amzn.to/3KAllem.
I was looking for a reptile fogger that had a solid output, large, easy to clean tank and had to be big enough to fit a small float valve on the inside. I found a great unit on amazon for $66 (https://amzn.to/3v33LcA) that would suit my needs perfectly and put out 16 pints a day.
I drilled a hole near the top of the tank large enough to snugly fit my float valve. I ran a 1/4" line from my RO, however the float valve kit I got for $13 (https://amzn.to/3NZ5GaV) has a max PSI of 80 which should be more than enough for any residential tap (usually around 60 PSI). I had to angle the float downward to make sure it fit inside the tank in the raised "off" position without hitting the wall of the tank.
Whether you spend $362 or $79 to fit your needs, I would recommend pairing it with a humidity controller. I run these - https://amzn.to/3jt8lLP. The Elitech is WiFi enabled so you can get control the settings and get alerts send right to your phone through their app (FREE). It still works without WiFi if you like to keep it old school! It has two "work stations" (work 1 is temp, work 2 is humidity) so you can control temp and humidity simultaneously, with a max output of 1100w.

I'm not sponsored by these companies but use and rely on these products and am 110% happy with the results. I do get a small commission if you use the links above, so if you're in need, check them out!
